The functional coating FN® 3 was developed for maximum efficiency of the air cleaning function (it achieves the highest photocatalytic efficiency of all FN® coatings). It is designed for indoor use, where it is an effective alternative to conventional technologies for air purification.

Effectively removes a wide range of pollutants and odors. It can be applied to surfaces made of concrete, raw masonry, stone, ceramics, plaster and common building surfaces that do not repel water. As a suitable application procedure, we recommend applying the first coat of FN® 2 suspensions and applying the other two coats with FN® 3. Compared to FN® 1 and FN® 2, FN® 3 has a high opacity. We recommend applying the coating to the ceiling and surfaces where there is no risk of damage by abrasion and where it ensures maximum effectiveness.

When using FN® for indoor air purification, FN® 3 coatings are usually applied to the room ceiling and a 1.5 m wide strip of vertical walls from the ceiling. FN® 2 is applied to other surfaces.

FN® 3 cannot be coloured, so it is only available in white.

The functional coating FN® 3 also effectively, long-term and efficiently eliminates viruses and bacteria, fungi, algae and other microorganisms. It is therefore also used as the most effective technology to reduce the risk of disease transmission.

APPEARANCE

The coating is white with a relatively high opacity and its surface chalks. The coating cannot be coloured due to its high photocatalyst content. Transparency approx. 5% – 10%.
